Protect the children. No, it is not fair for the other spouse. I never said it was. But, life is not fair.

Also, he does not escape the consequences of his sin. He will need to deal with it eventually. It is more in the timing of when that happens.

I also think there is a mindset that when people in the church say "consequences of sin" they mean church discipline. Going through church discipline does not absolve people of sin. If we believe that, then we might as well Catholics confessing to a priest. We must work out a change in ourselve with God. Church discipline is a way to facilitate that, but often falls short of that goal because we are usually only concerned with the process.DRChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14503423200672730577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7560511288867968072.post-18405405885033976172011-01-09T20:20:13.522-07:002011-01-09T20:20:13.522-07:00I don't think it is his decision to make about...I don't think it is his decision to make about whether or not she divorces him. She has a right to that information. How does he have a right to decide what is best for the family all by himself? Especially if it means he gets to cover up his sins and not have to deal with the consequences of them. It's one of the seven deadly sins of blogging. Blogging should be a value-added contribution in which you make a solemn promise never to waste the reader's time unless you want to someday be attacked by rabid crowd of fire-weasels and get your head torn off.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7560511288867968072.post-41641807588492383512009-10-15T16:53:28.637-06:002009-10-15T16:53:28.637-06:00I quite agree.
